Telangana: MIM takes out protest rally in Nalgonda

MIM district president Ahmed Kaleem said that the comments made by Sonu Dandaur, a native of Rajkot in Gujarat, against prophet Mohammed were most objectionable and hurt the sentiments of the Muslims in the country.

Nalgonda: The members of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) on Saturday have taken out protest rally from Taluk dari Masjid to police headquarters in Nalgonda demanding immediate arrest of Sonu Dangar, who allegedly made comments insulting prophet Mohammed.

A huge number of Muslims participated in the protest rally by holding flexi banners highlighting their demand. The protest rally passed through RP Road and Clock Tower and ended at the police headquarters They have also submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police on their demand.

Addressing the rally, MIM district president Ahmed Kaleem said that the comments made by Sonu Dandaur, a native of Rajkot in Gujarat, against prophet Mohammed were most objectionable and hurt the sentiments of the Muslims in the country. Prophet Mohammed gave a great message of the peace to the society. Sonu Dangar, who was also booked as history sheeter by the police, had been indulging in illegal activities and also ant-Islam propaganda in the social media for herself interests, he alleged. Her speeches were also like provoking enmity between Hindus and Muslims, he added.

“It was not acceptable that Sonu Dangar was making comments insulting Prophet Mohammed, who was most respectable person to the Muslims. Her comments were like spoiling the peaceful atmosphere as Muslims and Hindus were living together like brothers in the country”, he maintained.

He has also urged the government to take measures to delete her objectionable speeches from social media and not to upload them again. The government should take stringent action against those who would try to harm the peaceful atmosphere in the country. The MIM district general secretary Ghouse Mohinuddin and several Ulmas were also participated in the protest rally.
