Telangana worker found hanging at workplace in Saudi

Riyadh: The body of a Telangana house worker found hanging at his work place in eastern province of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

The worker is believed to have committed suicide, according to sources.

49-years old Gudeti Bhavanna, native of Kolipaka in Jakranpally Mandal in Nizamabad district was working as domestic helper with a Saudi family for last three years. Prior to coming to Saudi Arabia, he had worked in Dubai for some time, according to family sources.

His employer went to a nearby town along with family for a gathering, when they returned on same day night, they didn’t find Bhavanna to open the gate and unload bags from their vehicle. Surprised by absence of their helper, sponsor came to his room and found he was not there, and then later he found Bhavanna hanging on water pipe at pump house, said sources.

Police teams went to the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted the victim’s body to the hospital.

There was no sign of violence, police is investigating the cause of the death, whether this is a case of suicide or not.

The Indian workers in the locality, where Bhavanna was living, informed the family in India about the incident to family friend from same village after spotting his phone number in the diary of deceased worker.
