Mahabubnagar: District Collector Ronald Rose has ordered temporary closure of Pillalamarri for tourists.

The tree will not be open for tourists for three months, till the fencing and tree-saving efforts of the tourism department are not completed.

This administrative decision came after one of the trunks of the tree fell down a couple of days back.

However, the rest of the attractions of the Pillalamarri Tourism Centre will be open to public. They include the District Archaeological Museum, District Science Museum, Children’s play area and the mini wildlife sanctuary in the premises.

No ticket will be charged for visitors till then.
