Telangana rowers bag 4th straight national title

All smiles: Telangana Rowing team which emerged champions in the National Sub-junior Rowing Championship held in Pune.

Hyderabad: Telangana rowing team continued their good show and won the overall title for the fourth straight time in the National Sub-junior Championship held in Pune.

The team secured three gold, two silver and one bronze medal to bag a total of 23 points. B Hemalatha (Sub-jr girls single scull), K Nandini and K Anuradha (Sub-junior girls double scull) and the team of T Karthik, A Rakesh Kumar, K Sai Ganesh and N Hemanth (Sub –junior boys coxless four) bagged gold medals for the State team.

B Rajesh and E Ramakrishna won a silver in the sub-junior boys pair. The State team also bagged silver in the under-13 boys double scull with CH Sravan Kumar and K Gnanseswar winning the medal. In the sub-junior girls pair, K Udayabhanu and K Sindhu secured a bronze medal.

The State team also won two silver medals in the 4th Inter-state Challenger Sprint Nationals held along with the event.
