Telangana temples decked up for Mahashivaratri

Sangareddy/Medak: Lord Shiva temples in Sangareddy and Medak districs are being decked up for the annual Mahashivaratri festival. The annual Jathara will commence on Mahashivaratri day at Vanadurgabhavani Temple, Edupayala in Medak district on February 13.

Since the temple attracts a huge turnout from across the State on the holy day, TSRTC said it would press into service 170 special buses to Edupayala from various towns in Sangareddy, Siddipet and Medak districts. The temple has been illuminated with colourful lights ahead of the festival.

Deputy Speaker M Padma Devendar Reddy, and Joint Collector, Nagesh on Sunday reviewed the arrangements being made at various temples for the festival. Meanwhile, Kethaki Sangameshwara Swamy Temple, Jharasangam in Medak district, Lord Shiva Temple at Nandikandi near Sangareddy, Bramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Beeramguda were also decked up for the festival.
