Vehicle jammed at Panthangi toll plaza on National Highway 65

Yadadri-Bhongir: Vehicles have piled up at Panthangi toll plaza on National Highway 65 and at Gudur toll plaza on Hyderabad-Warangal Highway in Yadadri-Bhongir district as the people have been heading to their native places to celebrate Sankranthi festival.

The toll plazas have witnessed rush of vehicles from Friday mid-night and it continued until 9 am. After 9 am, there was some relief to the motorists, who were forced to wait at toll plazas for their turn due to the heavy traffic.

Vehicles piled up for over a kilometre at Panthangi toll plaza on National Highway 65. The thick fog was also contributed to the slow movement of the vehicles on the National Highway due to poor vision.

The authorities of Toll Plazas were also expecting that the rush of vehicles at the toll plazas would be high after Saturday mind-night and decided to open more gates for the vehicles, which were going towards Vijayawada.
