Temperature plummets in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: With light to moderate rains, the mercury levels in the city on Tuesday slipped down to normal giving a brief respite to people from harsh and humid weather conditions of the last week. The showers during the past two days has impacted mercury levels on Tuesday too as it settled at 36.08 degree Celsius. Drizzle was reported in some parts of the city while other parts received light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday.

The data with Telangana State Development Planning Society show that Alwal recorded highest rainfall of 29.8 mm in the city on Tuesday followed by Tirumalgherry (22.6 mm), Marredpally (14.1 mm) and Khairatabad (6.93 mm).

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), a rainfall of 8.4 mm was recorded on Monday. Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is very likely to occur at isolated places on Wednesday in the city, the weather department forecast said.
