Kazakhstan is one country that has gained popularity among the tourists in the last year or so. The youngsters especially found the picturesque landscapes and the partying culture one of a kind in the city of Almaty.

With Air Astana flying frequently between our national capital and cities of Astana and Almaty, the connectivity made it easy for Indian tourists to travel to these destinations.

Apart from this, the neighbouring countries also have ample opportunities for tourism. So, when a tourist decides to explore the ‘Stans’, s/he can easily cover 3 to 4 cities in the same trip.

Best time to visit

Like most of Europe and Central Asia, July and August are the best months to see Kazakhstan in all of its glory. With day temperatures between 25-30C, the tourists are on the move with light summer clothing.

Almaty is the main metropolitan city with a great selection of lakes and cathedrals to explore. The capital of Kazakhstan, Astana has the Bai Terek Tower which is a must in the sight-seeing agenda. Apart from this, the capital city has many famous mosques and museums to keep their tourists engaged.

Food & culture

Food is an important part of any culture. Kazakh food typically comprises meat. They also have a special technique to cure the meat with salt so that it can be preserved longer. Horse and camel are the local choice for animal-protein. Dairy products are also part of their everyday meal.
