Hyderabad: The burial of three persons from Telangana who were killed in the attack on the mosques in Christchurch of New Zealand is likely to take place there only.
Farhaj Ahsan an engineer, and Ozair Khadir a student pursuing aviation course from a university – both from the city and Mohd Imran a businessman from Karimnagar were killed in the firing by an armed man at a mosque on Friday.
The family members of the three persons have reached Christchurch and have identified the bodies. The Indian Embassy officials, New Zealand authorities, and the local Muslim groups were in touch and took them to the place where the bodies were kept.
The bodies will be released after the autopsy is conducted. The autopsy procedure is likely to be completed by the mid-week.
The local Islamic organisation has prevailed upon the families to bury the bodies in New Zealand. However, they are still awaiting an affirmative reply from the families.
