Hyderabad: A senior Rotarian and former governor of Rotary district 3160, Kandukuri Sreerama Murthy was selected for Service Above Self, the highest recognition award in Rotary International.

The award for 2019-20 was bestowed by a committee of 21 directors headed by Rotary Interanational president Mark Maloney. For this award, 147 persons have been selected from 538 Rotary districts from 202 countries.

Sreerama Murthy hails from Nandyal of Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh and was selected for the prestigious award for his selfless services to the society.

Former Rotary governor Kalluri Ramalinga Reddy, Rotary Elect Governor Chinnapu Reddy, distrit chief secetary Kailasanath Reddy, club president Vijayabhaskar Reddy, Chief Sargeant at arms Vijayasekhar Reddy and other have congratulated Sreerama Murthy and said a Rotarian winning the award from Nandyal brought honours to entire Telugu people.
