Hyderabad: In yet another blow to the Congress party, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) SC Cell chairman and senior Congress leader Arepalli Mohan joined the TRS in presence of party working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday. Several Congress ZPTCs, MPTCs and sarpanches from Karimnagar district also joined TRS on the occasion.
Welcoming Mohan into the party, Rama Rao said the senior politician will be an asset to TRS and would strengthen its position in Manakondur Assembly constituency. He assured that TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will consider the appropriate position to Mohan at an appropriate time. He asked all the party leaders to work in coordination and cooperate with each other to strengthen TRS as well as ensure the party candidates’ victory in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections with a huge majority.
Mohan said Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao took up various development and welfare activities which are making brisk progress benefiting people of Telangana State. He stated that he was attracted by the initiatives of the Chief Minister and was joining TRS to assist him in realising the dream of ‘Bangaru Telangana’. He vowed to strive for the victory of TRS in the ensuing Parliamentary elections. He said people lost faith in Congress party which failed them numerous times.
