Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based artiste Thakarshi Reddy released a tribute documentary song as a token of gratitude to actor Sonu Sood for his charity and relief efforts in the pandemic.
Titled ‘Manishivaya’, it was written, composed and produced by the 24-year-old. It starts this way: Chikatalle Kastamoche Adubadda Jeevithale E Gudu Cheraleka Thalladille…
The heart-touching lyrics and soothing voice in the song has struck a chord with other admirers of the humanitarian. It currently has close to 5,000 views on YouTube and Thakarshi hopes it will reach more people.
Sonu Sood, too, had taken to Twitter to write, “You are awesome brother. Loved the song.”
In fact, he got on a video call to appreciate the upcoming singer Thakarshi. “I am a songwriter and this is my first release. Initially, my plans were to release a patriotic song. However, I realised that nothing can be more patriotic than what Sonu Sood sir has been doing for our country. There couldn’t have been a better start for my career than being appreciated by sir,” he shared.
Thakarshi hopes to release more of his compositions in the near future. He says that songwriting has always been his passion and it is something that he and his mom do together sometimes. “She is a single parent and my guiding light — I often take suggestions from her. I feel lyrics have to be genuine, honest and must contain truth,” he concludes.
