Hyderabad: The alleged throwing of headphones at the Governor by some members of the Congress party during his address to the joint sitting of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council on Monday was strongly condemned by TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar, and TRS MLA Srinivas Goud.

They told reporters that it was unbecoming on the part of Congress members to throw files, papers and headphones at the Governor during his address. “Who would have taken responsibility had the Governor been hurt if he was hit by the flying headphones?” Goud asked.

Accusing the Congress members of indulging in ‘dadagiri’ inside the Assembly, Goud demanded that strict action be taken against those who threw various things at the Governor during his address.

Prabhakar said the TRS party strongly condemned the Congress for trying to disrupt the Governor’s address. He said the opposition party has “once again proved that it believed in undemocratic practices and that it could get away with bullying the government.”

This is not the first time that the Congress members have indulged in such behaviour, he said adding that while the TRS government was working hard for the welfare of the people, the opposition Congress party was only focused on disrupting and undermining the government in any which way possible.
