Hyderabad: TRS NRI wing coordinator Mahesh Bigala on Sunday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was extending all possible help to NRIs stranded in different countries especially the Gulf nations during the Covid-19 pandemic. He said the Chief Minister was aware of the developments across the world and condition of Telangana NRIs as well.
In a video-conference with the leaders of TRS NRIs from different countries after formally celebrating the Telangana State Formation Day celebration on Sunday, Mahesh Bigala said all the TRS NRI units have put their best efforts to help Telangana natives, who were stranded in different countries, by providing them with essential commodities and medicines. He stated that they also made necessary arrangements to send the latter home. He pointed out that the State government was providing free quarantine facility to migrant workers from the Gulf countries.
The TRS NRI leaders expressed happiness over the virtual meeting which enabled them to meet all at once. They said the State government was doing an exceptional work to contain the Covid-19 pandemic and also reaching out to help the needy. They also paid tributes to the Telangana martyrs and recalled their sacrifices.
On the occasion, Mahesh Bigala said the TRS NRI wing now has its presence in over 50 countries. He said due to its strong network, the TRS NRI wing was able to reach out to the needy and help them in coordination with the officials concerned.
