Suryapet: Minister for Power and SC Development, G Jagadish Reddy, on Friday said that the people of the State will not vote for candidates belonging to any other party to the Legislative Assembly apart from those belonging to the TRS and AIMIM in the 2019 elections.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of a programme in Suryapet, Jagadish Reddy strongly reacted to the comments made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu on the state of politics in both the Telugu States and at national level.
The Minister responded satirically saying the TDP already lost its presence in Telangana and added that the TDP would meet same fate in Andhra Pradesh soon.
“Chandrababu Naidu can dream about good political position, but it will be impossible. Election results of Karnataka will repeat in Andhra Pradesh as well in 2019”, he added.
Hitting out at Naidu for his claims about developing Hyderabad, the Minister for Power said construction and development of a city would not become possible with a single person and added that even Nizam rulers never claimed the credit of being the creators of Hyderabad like Chandrababu Naidu. Indirectly referring to Hi-Tech city, he pointed out that several buildings bigger than the construction, which was mentioned by TDP chief, have come up in Hyderabad.
He opined that development of the city would depend on the people. He urged the T-TDP leaders to introspect themselves whether a single TDP candidate would get deposits in Telangana in 2019 elections.
Stating that the people of the country were looking towards Telangana, which has been performing extremely well on all fronts, he said that the people of other States were looking for the leadership of a leader like KCR.
He felt that the TRS would sweep elections in Andhra Pradesh as well if Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief declares the party as national and contests elections in the neighbouring State.
Earlier in the day, the Minister had laid foundation stone for Erukala Bhavan in Suryapet.
