Hyderabad: Agriculture Secretary C Partha Sarathi will address 8th Indian Seed Congress at Colombo in February.
Director General of National Seed Association of India (NSAI) Kalyan B Goswami sent an invitation to Partha Sarathi on Saturday. NSAI is the apex organisation which represents the seed sector in the country and it holds ‘Indian Seed Congress’ every year.
Considering the efforts of the Telangana government to make the State seed capital of the country, the NSAI invited Agriculture Secretary Partha Sarathi to take part in the inaugural session of the conclave. Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Sing will grace the event as the chief guest. The conference will be held on February 5, 6 in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Partha Sarathi said it was a great honour to the State government. The State Seed Certification Agency had been conducting several national and international workshops. “TS is doing a significant job in the seed development and already guiding other States in this regard. We got an opportunity to showcase how the State is working towards achieving seed bowl of the country’s tag,” he said.
