Warangal Urban: The members of All Brahmins Officials and Professionals Association (ABOPA) and Telangana Brahmin Sangala Samakya (TBSS) met here on Wednesday and resolved that Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) should allot MLA ticket to Vaddiraju Ganesh, TRS leader and coroporator from the 27th division.
TRS has already announced 105 candidates of 119 seats in the State, and is yet to announce the candidate for Warangal East Assembly constituency. Moreover, exit of the sitting MLA Konda Surekha is almost evident following her revolt against the party.
The followers of Ganesh and members of the Brahmin community have strong feeling that he would win the seat comfortably, if the ticket was allotted.
Speaking to the press persons, TBSS president V Jaganmohan Sharma and ABOPA district president M Manohar Rao said Ganesh was eligible for the ticket and urged the TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao to allot the ticket. “We have a good voter strength in the constituency and there are fairly good chances of winning the seat,” they added.
Meanwhile, sources in the party said that the party high command was also actively considering the name of Pochamapally Srinivas Reddy, who is the working as the party State secretary and a close friend of KT Rama Rao, for the seat. Srinivas Reddy hails from Varikole village of Parkal constituency and is also known as ‘Varikole Srimanthudu’ as he developed the village by spending money from his pocket and getting State government funds.
Former Minister Baswaraju Saraiah, TS Women Cooperative Finance Corporation Gundu Sudharani, Errarbelli Pradeep Rao and Gudimalla Ravi Kumar are among those aspiring for the ticket from TRS in Warangal East Assembly constituency.
