Warangal Urban: Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar on Sunday urged traders, businessmen, philanthropists and other affluent sections of society to come forward to help the poor in this hour of crisis caused by the lockdown imposed to check the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
Bhaskar and the owners of the Laxmi Narasimha Hospital, Hanamkonda, Dr B Sandhya Rani and Karunkar Reddy handed over essential commodities to a total of 600 autorickshaw drivers in Hanamkonda on Monday.
The owners of the hospital have purchased the essential commodities and distributed to the drivers responding to the call given by Vinay Bhaskar.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Bhaskar has praised Dr Sandya Rani and Karunakar Reddy for coming forward to help the autodrivers who are facing hardships due to lockdown. “I urge the others to emulate Dr Sadhya Rani and Karunakar Reddy and help the poor and needy.
Even Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has also called upon the rich and philanthropists to help the poor during this crisis situation,” he added. The autodrivers were distributed the essentials at Nayeem Nagar, Bhadrakali temple, Mulugu road, KUC junction and Pegadapally localities in Warangal West constituency.
MLA Vinay Bhaskar has also appealed to the public to strictly follow the directives of the government during the lockdown period to check the spread of the COVID-19.
