TS committed to welfare of poor Brahmin families, says Gutha

Nalgonda: Stating that there were also poor people in Brahmin community, Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukender Reddy on Sunday said that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was contemplating to setup a federation for the welfare of the community.

Releasing a Panchangam of Telugu New Year called ‘Hevalambi Nama samvastharam’, which was composed by Gowrimatla Vittal Sharma at a programme in TTD Bhavan, Sukender Reddy said that there were financially backward Brahmin families in the State. Keeping it in mind, the State government had planned to take up programmes for their welfare. He said that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had announced to setup Brahmin Bhavan.

He said the people of Brahmin community had beenn playing key role in inculcating spirituality in people, and the issues faced by the community need to be addressed. Thoguta Peetham priest Madhava Ananda Swamy, Saraswathi Upasak Divygna Sharma, Telangana State Forest Development Corporation Chairman Banda Narender and others attended the programme.
