Hyderabad: In preparation for the ensuing council elections for the graduate constituencies the TPCC has organised a meeting with six DCC presidents and senior leaders on Sunday under the watchful eye of the AICC State in-charge Manickam Tagore and TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy. The meeting has decided to set up sub committees at each district unit to identify and highlight local issues to be taken up during campaign.
Speaking to leaders from Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts, Manickam called upon the cadre to stay among people and try to solve their problems. ” The TRS government is resorting to misuse of power and decimating institutions and opposition parties. In such a situation it is the party worker who should fight against the anti people policies of the government,” he said.
Calling upon party ranks to be like all rounders, he said that a unified fight and discipline can only bring Congress back to power in the State. He said that the party has declared a month long anti farm bills programme during which a signature campaign for farmers will be conducted from October 2 to 31. “In all 70 leaders will be made responsible for 10 mandals each and I will be visiting some of them during the signature campaign,” Manickam said. He further said that the party requires in-charges for every two villages in the Dubbaka Assembly segment which is slated for a by-election.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that a memorandum against the farm bills will be submitted to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday and on Tuesday there will be constituency wise meetings . He called upon district leaders to create awareness among the cadre about the need for encouraging graduates to enroll afresh in the voters list. He said that there will be a programme on central government policies on October 30 via video conference offered by the AICC Training cell.
CLP Chief Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC Secretaries Bosu Raju, Srinivas Krishnan, Challa Vamshi Chander Reddy, Sampath Kumar, Working presidents Ponnam Prabhakar, Kusum Kumar, MLA Seethakka, and others also participated in the meeting.
