Hyderabad: TS Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) on Friday urged public not to get carried away by fake messages in social media platforms that claim that BIE was accepting huge sums of money from students towards examination fee for the upcoming board examinations.

The BIE prescribes a last date for payment of examination fee after which students are not allowed to pay fee and appear for examination. This is done to enable BIE to make proper arrangements for printing of hall tickets, question papers, answer scripts, printing of OMR sheets, allocation of the student to exam centres and sorting out similar logistic issues, TSBIE Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel in a statement on Friday said.

The regular BIE schedule of payment of examination fee was on June 26, 2019 and the last date for payment was December 16, 2019.

Due to public request, the last date of payment of exam fee was extended twice and the final payment date was on December 30, 2019 with payment of penal fee of Rs 3,000 over and above the regular exam fee.
