Hyderabad: The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on Tuesday announced selections to as many as 2,476 vacancies, a record for the number of selections on a single day. With this, the Commission filled up 20,000 vacancies since its inception.
TSPSC chairman Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani and members of the Commission met here and approved the results for selection to 1,856 posts of Forest Beat Officers (FBO), 699 vacancies of School Assistants – Social Studies (Telugu medium) through the Teacher Recruitment Test and 52 vacancies of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT)-Science in various Residential Educational Institutions Societies.
Of the total 1,857 FBO posts that were notified, results for 33 vacancies have been withheld due to various pending court cases and will be announced later. One vacancy remained unfilled due to non-availability of eligible candidates, the PSC said in a press release.
In case of the TRT, of 699 vacancies notified, the results for 25 physical handicapped vacancies will be released after receiving medical reports. For another 22 vacancies, the result is kept on hold due to pending court cases and agency related issues and will be announced later.
The PSC said in compliance with the High Court orders, it released a list of 52 provisionally selected candidates in continuation of the earlier selection list.
All the results will be available on the PSC’s website www.tspsc.gov.in.
