TSPSC fills 6000 jobs

For first time, the Commission has taken the recruitment process online by conducting Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) for various posts. In total, the Commission has conducted 26 examinations of which 19 are CBRT and seven are Optical Mark Recognition sheet based.

Telangana State Public Service Commission intends to keep marks of the candidates online once the results of Group-II services were announced.

Hyderabad: In the record of its sorts, the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has successfully completed the recruitment process of close to 6,000 various posts in different departments. Despite being the youngest public service commission across the country, it did fill the posts in the record time of 30 months.

Since July 2015, the TSPSC has issued 49 notifications for recruitment of posts close to 16,000 including 1032 Group-II services, 7036 posts in residential educational institutions societies and 2437 jobs in various departments.

For first time, the Commission has taken the recruitment process online by conducting Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) for engineers among other posts. In total, the Commission has conducted 25 examinations of which 19 are CBRT and six are Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet based.

Of the total notification issued, the commission has already filled 6,000 posts and recruitment process Group-II, posts in residential institutions and various departments is under process. Another feather in cap for the TSPSC, it released the merit list of Group-II services by evaluating over 5.17 lakh OMR sheets in record time of 100 days and called shortlisted candidates for the certificate verification.

For keeping utmost transparency in the recruitment process, the Commission has captured the images of the OMR sheets of the candidates appeared for the Group-II and have been converted into image format for future issue. This apart, the TSPSC intends to keep marks of the candidates online once the results of Group-II services were announced.

All this could be achieved in record time and with minimum human resources. Presently, the Commission is just working with 25 staff.

Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Chairman, TSPSC said that Commission could successfully complete the recruitment due to collective efforts of staff and members.

“The staff is working overtime to ensure everything is delivered on time,” Chakrapani said
