With the preliminary exams for various exams coming to a close, many aspirants are faced with a few important questions. Should I start preparing for the Mains right now or should I wait until the results are out? Should I appear for the Clerical exams? Are there any other opportunities that I shouldn’t miss? Here is an attempt to address some of these questions and more.
The results of the IBPS RRB Exams are round the corner – might have already been released by now. The Mains tests are slated for November 5 ( Group A) and November 12 (Group B).
In case you have qualified for the Mains, you will need to start your preparation in full steam right away. Unlike the prelims, the next phase is a two-hour exam and includes sections on General Awareness and Computer Knowledge in addition to the Aptitude sections that were part of the prelims test. These additional sections are highly scoring and might make a big difference to the final result.
The IBPS PO Mains is the big daddy of all banking exams this season. With the prelims coming to an end, make sure that you are getting started with the preparation for Mains.
The results are expected in the month of December and the exam will follow in less than a month from then. It is unwise to keep waiting until then. IBPS Mains has an objective exam for 3 hours and a descriptive exam for 30 minutes. The exam includes questions on Computer Aptitude, General Economy and Banking Awareness in addition to Reasoning, English Language and Data Interpretation. The descriptive section comprises of Letter Writing and Essay Writing and is evaluated for 25 marks.

Even while preparing for the various Mains tests, aspirants will need to cater time and effort to the upcoming IBPS Clerks. The prelims tests will be held on December 2, 3, 9 and 10.
IPPB – Indian Post Payments Bank – is a State-owned commercial bank in India. Indian Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has started its first ever recruitment drive for the year 2016-17.
This year it is expected that the official notification might be in the month of November/December.Last year, there were three stages in the selection, Prelims, Mains and Mains.
The areas covered are Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge and Computer Knowledge.
The first year (2016) saw recruitment of Officers in Scale I, II and III (JGM Scale I). There were over 650 vacancies announced for Officer Scale I post of Assistant Manager (Territory) in branches of IPPB. Stay tuned for official updates.
