Hyderabad: The Chandrayangutta police on Saturday arrested two persons for sexually assaulting a 11-year-old boy here last week.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (Falaknuma) MA Rasheed, the suspects Abdul Mutallib, 22, and Mudassir Khan, 19, both residents of Chandrayangutta, had lured the boy offering him snacks.

“The duo took the boy to an isolated place near the railway station and sexually assaulted him. Later, they left the boy near his house,” he said.

The child informed about the incident to his parents who approached the Chandrayangutta police and lodged a complaint. The police had registered a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act and arrested the duo. They were produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
