Two degree students go missing in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Two women, both students of the Raja Bahadur Venkata Rama Reddy Women’s College, have been reported missing from Narayanaguda here.

In the first case, Chamanthi, 18, a native of Sangareddy District and a BSc first year student staying in the college hostel, was reported missing from last Monday. Her mother Lalitha, lodged a police complaint, in which she said that Chamanthi was restricted from using her phone after she was found spending long hours on the phone. Police are probing whether this has anything to do with her disappearance.

In the second case, M Divya, 20, a BSc final year student from Karkhana was reported missing since Friday night. Based on her father’s complaint, a missing case has been booked. Her phone has been switched off. She is suspected to have gone to Khammam.

Police said search parties were on the job to trace them at the earliest.
