Hyderabad: Two held for manufacturing, selling gutka

Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone, in a joint operation with the Market police, conducted raids on a gutka warehouse and seized banned tobacco products worth Rs 14.16 lakh, apart from arresting two persons here on Thursday.

According to the police, the suspects arrested were identified as M Vimal Kishore Jain (48) and M Praveen Jain (32), both residents of Monda Market Street in Secunderabad.

The suspects were running a pan masala business in the name of Anand Traders in Monda Market and were illegally manufacturing gutka products, C Shashidhar Raju, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, said, adding that police seized 25 different types of tobacco products. The two were produced before the court and remanded.
