Pashapur (Medak district): Governor ESL Narasimhan’s trip to a tiny village located 16-km away from Medak district headquarters is set to change the life some hut dwellers.
To get first hand knowledge of ongoing land records rectification programme taken up by Telangana government, the Governor visited Pashapur village on Monday.
After interacting with farmers for half an hour, Narasimhan walked through a street in the village and interacted with couple of hut dwellers. While talking to Jangiti Navaneetha and her husband Yesu, a couple living in a hut, he was informed about the housing problems being faced by them.
On hearing their grievances, Deputy Speaker Padma Devendar Reddy assured them of providing double bedroom house. Later, Narasimhan interacted with another couple, Jangiti Venkatesham and Pochamma, living in the neighbourhood of Navaneetha’s hut. Venkatesham told ‘Telangana Today’, the Deputy Speaker also assured them of providing double bedroom house. Both the families thanked the Governor and the Deputy Speaker.
Earlier, Narasimhan interacted with half a dozen villagers to know whether the revenue officials had visited their house as part of ongoing land purification programme.
Appreciating the Telangana government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for taking up such a programme, the Governor called upon the people to cooperate with the officials during the land record survey.
Special Secretary, BR Meena; Director of Land records purification programme, Vakati Karuna; Collector, Bharathi Holikare; Zilla Parisad Chairperson, Rajaman Murali Yadav and others were present.
