Warangal Urban: Subedari police arrested two boys for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl and produced the duo before a juvenile court on Monday.

According to Police Commissioner V Ravinder, the incident happened two months ago at Amaravathi Nagar under Subedari PS limits, but the victim’s mother lodged the complaint only on Sunday (April 15) citing various reasons.

She alleged that her brother-in-law’s sons, who are studying B.Tech first year and polytechnic, had sexually assaulted her daughter when she had gone to their home. “I came to know about the heinous act when my daughter complained about pain in her private parts and the doctor also confirmed that she was sexually assaulted,” she said in her complaint.

It is learnt that the parents of the victim could not lodge complaint till April 15 due to pressure from the family members of the accused.

The police registered a case under Sections 5 (I) and 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and 374 (2) (I) and (N) and 327 of IPC against the accused.
