Two more Telangana workers die of coronavirus in Gulf

The holy city of Makkah, the worst affected city in the country witnessed another death of a person hailing from Telangana state in less than 24 hours

Jeddah: The Gulf region continues to record increasing number of Telangana workers afficted with coronavirus and deaths due to it.

The holy city of Makkah, the worst affected city in the country witnessed another death of a person hailing from Telangana state in less than 24 hours.

A 61-year old, Hyderabad’s Firstlancer native, Syed Dastagir Ali died of Coronavirus in Makkah on Wednesday, according to his family. Ali was working as technician in a maintenance company and was diagnosed with the COVID-19. He was hospitalised but was not responding to treatment and passed away on Wednesday.

This is the fourth death of Telangana workers in Saudi Arabia with coronavirus, all deceased were technicians working in various maintenance companies in the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the emirate of Dubai in UAE also registered first Telangana worker death of coronavirus. Syed Ahmed Ali (35), native of Armur of Nizamabad died on Thursday. He was working as camp boss and assigned to check coronavirus symptoms among workers living the camp. He was infected with the and succumbed after over a week treatment in a hospital in Dubai.
