Hyderabad: For the first time in Telangana, since the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, two doctors have tested positive for Covid-19. The doctors, both husband and wife, hail from Domalguda and have been admitted to a government hospital and are stable.

Another 49-year-old resident from Qutbullapur in Medchal district, who is a contact of a Covid-19 positive patient and had travelled to New Delhi recently, has tested positive. A 45-year-old male resident of Buddhanagar, Secunderabad with a travel history to Delhi has also tested positive. With authorities confirming four cases, the overall number of cases in Telangana increased to 45.

The two doctors from Domalguda were consulting in a super-speciality hospital. The husband had travelled to Tirupati in a flight and had developed fever after reaching Hyderabad. The State health authorities said that efforts are on to track the Covid-19 positive patient from whom the doctor was infected. The family members of the two doctors are under strict home quarantine. All the Covid-19 patients admitted to the government hospitals are in stable condition.
