It is said that the girls of the thanda sleep at the venue of the Teej festival during the celebrations. After registering a missing case, the Kuravi police have launched a search for the missing girls. Sub-Inspector T Ashok said that they had gone to Kuravi temple to collect CCTV footage from there as some people had informed that they had seen two girls wandering near the temple. However, it was ascertained whether the children left their village on their own or they were abducted.
