Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime Police on Friday arrested two Uttar Pradesh natives on charges of cheating job aspirants.

The arrested were Aman Tyagi alias Rohit Sharma and Harsh Tyagi, both natives of Ghaziabad in UP.

A woman lodged a complaint in July stating that while searching for a suitable job, she came into contact with the suspects who offered her an engineer’s job in a private firm. She was lured to transfer Rs 51,000 to an e-wallet account towards charges of registration fee, document verification, security deposit, etc. After transferring the money, they switched off their phones.

According to the cybercrime officials, the suspects would fraudulently procure the information of unemployed persons through web portals and make calls posing as job consultants. Further, by offering them job, they would collect money through Paytm before switching off their phones. They have cheated many job aspirants across the country, the police said.
