Warangal Rural:The management of the Government Degree College (GDC), Parkal, has been organising a two-week national level online faculty development programme (FDP) on “Skill Development and Competency Enhancement” for the benefit of the faculty members, said co-convenor of the FDP and Assistant Professor of English, Dr Naveen Mallam.
In a press release here on Sunday, he said: “The programme focused on the basic issues and challenges in acquiring the set of skills. This is mainly aimed to cater to the needs of the faculty of all disciplines across the nation towards the development of skills and techniques. By focusing on the thrust areas, the programme is enabling the participants from different disciplines to improve their skills for teaching and learning,” he added.
Topics including, LOCF for Skills Enhancement, Skills Development, The Art of Writing Research Papers in Peer Reviewed Journals, Avoiding the Plagiarism, How to use Zotero, a Citation Management Tool, Delivery of Higher Education on Virtual Platform – Challenges & Road Map, Innovation Development and Problem Solving Approach, Integration of ICT in Education for Teaching and Learning Effectiveness – Students’ & Teachers’ Perspective, Yet, I am not Defeated – Can’t You Reach Your Destiny, Application of Sampling Techniques in Social Science Research, MOODLES and Learning Management Systems (LMS), Technology in Education: Possibilities and Limitations, Techniques for Engaging Teaching and Learning Experience – Online and Offline, Creative Teaching and Learning Strategies, Challenges in Higher Education – Strategies to Adopt, and Resurgence of Indian Economy: Managerial Strategies During Post Covid Era have been delivered by eminent academicians across the nation.
“On Monday, Prof. H K Singh, Department of Commerce, Banaras Hindu University, U.P, will speak on “Resurgence of Indian Economy: Managerial Strategies during Post Covid Era”. Meanwhile, Navin Mittal, Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Telangana, will deliver his address as the chief guest at the valedictory session on Tuesday,” Dr Naveen added.
