OnePlus has finally come out with a highly anticipated release, the brand new model OnePlus 7 Pro. It consists of every trendy phone feature a user would ever want. As today’s smartphones are constantly getting a feature-makeover like in-display fingerprint sensors, pop-up selfie cameras and multiple rear cameras, OnePlus has not let the fans down. With its classy look, royal colours and a wide range of features brilliantly catered for an ultimate experience, here is a detailed review of the gadget.
OnePlus 7 Pro specifications
As soon as one opens the brand new box of the new OnePlus 7 Pro, they will find the OnePlus 7 smartphone itself, along with the USB Type-C cable and the 5V6A charging adapter. There is also a transparent cover case, along with a welcome card by the company itself.
The smartphone is available in three colour variants – Nebula Blue, Mirror Gray and Almond. The speciality about the Nebula Blue variant is that it sports a frosted glass back panel and has an anti-glare coated material that also hides fingerprints, scratches and smudges.
This smartphone display screen is larger when compared to the earlier models. Moreover, it has a 6.67-inch QHD+ ‘Fluid Amoled’ display with a curved screen that supports 90 Hz refresh rate to make the interface animation smooth. A user can avail the HDR support and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. OnePlus 7 Pro also offers additional features like ‘Video Enhancer’, ‘Reading Mode’ and ‘Night Mode 2.0’. But, a foldable display is still not on the cards.
The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor clubbed with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM options. The handset comes with two storage variants of 128GB or 256GB and is also the first to include UFS 3.0 in-built storage for faster and flawless performance, giving its customers a top-of-the-line phone experience at a very reasonable price range, suiting the Indian markets as compared to the Samsung and Apple models.
Camera is an important asset in any good smartphone, and OnePlus 7 Pro offers no less. For the first time, the handset has a triple rear camera set up with an additional front facing selfie-pop up camera. The first in-focus rear camera has 48MP with a 16MP ultra wide camera and the third camera is an 8MP telephoto lens. At the front, there is a 16MP fixed focus pop-up camera. The lightning fast camera can even be accessed while the phone is locked.
It is powered by a 4000mAh battery, which is not a massive upgrade considering its predecessors from the OnePlus 6 line. The smartphone supports Wrap Charge 30 (5V/6A) flash charging tech.
New features and Pricing
Other features to look out for are ‘Screen Recorder’, ‘Zen Mode’, ‘Screenshot Editor’ and ‘Improved Gaming mode’. The smart phone also has an in-display fingerprint reader that is faster than the OnePlus 6T’s scanner with Face ID and PIN locks retained. With an impressive set of stereo speakers, the smartphone lacks a headphone jack. Currently priced at Rs 48,999, the OnePlus 7 Pro is a swift device, with the only visible drawback being its heavy build and not rated for water-resistance and no wireless charging.
