Hyderabad: A 40-year-old unidentified person was found dead near Nature Cure Hospital under Nampally railway police station limits on Monday.

Nampally Government Railway police Inspector A Srinivas said the man could have died after he was hit by train while crossing the tracks carrying tender coconuts. The police preserved the body at Gandhi Hospital mortuary for identification and autopsy.

In another incident, a 22-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when she attempted suicide by jumping in front of MMTS train at Bharatnagar railway station.

In spite of MMTS loco pilot applying brakes on seeing the woman coming in the opposite direction on the tracks, the woman sustained injuries. The police admitted her to Gandhi Hospital where she is in coma.
