Suryapet: Collector K Surendra Mohan on Saturday directed officials concerned to complete the verification of all the remaining Sada Bainama applications to find the eligible ones for the scheme as early as possible.
Speaking at a meeting held with mandal level special officers in his chamber at the Collectorate, the Collector said that out of a total of 87,667 applications of Sada Bainama in the district, 9,215 applications were found eligible and 12,918 applications were rejected. He asked the officials to verify the remaining 65,534 applications at the earliest. He also directed them to send the applications with the details of reasons for rejection of their applications.
Surendra Mohan also instructed the special officers to send reports to the District Revenue Officer on the status of assigned lands in their mandals within two days. The reports should include information regarding ownership of the assigned land, whether it was sold out or if the allotted person is in possession of the land, and the crops being cultivated on the land.
Directing the officials to send a report on the number of families in the Yadav and Bestha communities in the mandals, the Collector informed that measures were are taken up for setting up of ‘sheep units’ to financially help the people of the Yadav community. Tubs of water would also be set up at the village to provide drinking water to the livestock during summer.
He also directed officials of Animal Husbandry to prepare an action plan with details of funds required for setting up sheep units for people of the Yadav community. He also asked them to submit a list of the tanks, suitable for release of fish seeds. He pointed out that 2.1 crore fish seeds were already released into the waters of the tanks in the district so far.
The Collector held the meeting in view of the upcoming meeting of District Collectors with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on February 5 in Hyderabad to discuss Sada Bainama, status of social welfare hostels and details of people belonging to the Yadav and fishermen community.
Joint Collector Sanjeeva Reddy, District Revenue Officer Yadi Reddy and officials of other departments also attended the meeting.
