Nalgonda: Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Thursday took out a rally in protest against the banishment of Hindu spiritual leader and head of Kakinada Sri Peetham Swami Paripoornananda from Hyderabad.

The rally, which began near RTC bus stand, passed through Ramalayam and concluded at Clock Tower Centre. Speaking on the occasion, Bajrang Dal samyojak Kanneboina Venkat questioned how far it was just for the police to put Paripoornananda under house arrest to spoil his padayatra, which was aimed at protecting dharma.

He demanded that the State government intervene in the matter and withdraw order externing Paripoornananda. If not, the Hindus would take up agitation across the State, he cautioned.
Bajrang Dal leaders Yalijala Narsimha, Sampath Varma, Sai Singh, Kalyan, Om Prakash and others participated in the rally.
