Hyderabad: While the growth of online matrimonial sites has changed the way marriages happen, but it has also led to many getting duped and fake accounts being created. In order to bridge this gap, Jaipur-based Dil Ke Rishte has launched the first-of-its-kind video-biodata matrimonial site. Promoted by Adidev Entertainment, the site unveiled its pan-India offering from Hyderabad and is aiming to take the current online matrimonial market to the next level.

Other than offering basic services like horoscope matching, verified profiles, the site also offers video profile, video and online chatting without revealing number and sharing of time-bound links. For the making of video profiles, the company has tied up with many small photo studios in Hyderabad and will be operating its services through a franchisee model. If the client does not want to get a professional video made, they can even upload their own video on the site which can be seen by prospective grooms and/or brides.

“Almost 60 per cent of the total volume of online matrimony comes from South India. That is the reason we are starting the service from Hyderabad and will be looking at touching all the southern States by end of this year,” said Suresh Nair, founder, Dil Ke Rishte.

Within just one week of its launch, the company has on-boarded 150 profiles and is looking to get 25,000 profiles on its site by 2019-end. The company is eyeing 10 per cent market share in terms of revenue and 25 per cent in terms of user base. The Indian online matrimony industry is pegged to be at Rs 1,200 crore by 2020, according to Nair. The founder, without divulging details of the total investment in the company, said that the company has signed an agreement with one master franchisee to cater to eight States in the country.
