Karimnagar: With the campaign for polls coming to an end on Wednesday, candidates of various political parties switched over to social media platforms to woo voters.

During the election campaign, candidates made rounds of even interior areas and urged people to exercise their votes. With the campaign coming to an end, social media is the only option left for the candidates.

Candidates of various political parties are posting video messages on social media platforms such as What’s app and Facebook, which are going viral.

Aspirants, who explained their priorities to voters till Wednesday, are spreading the same message through social media now.

While ruling party candidates are highlighting welfare and developmental programmes implemented during the last four years, opposition candidates are explaining their priorities besides exposing the failures of ruling party candidates.

The messages are recorded with catchy background music to impress viewers. Not only candidates contesting on political parties tickets, but Independents are also posting video messages along with their symbols.

Meanwhile, followers of some contestant candidates are posting pieces to create confusion among voters. For instance, admirers of Karimnagar Congress candidate Ponnam Prabhakar uploaded a post on Facebook stating that “TRS is facing difficulties in Karimangar. TRS candidate Gangula Kamalakar is frustrated.”
