If there is one actor who manages to grab attention and stay in the limelight consistently, it has to be Vijay Devarakonda. Whether it is with his social media updates or sending free ice creams or taking a fan along to an awards function or playing cricket on the dais of a movie’s pre-release function, he does make it to headlines.
Recently, at the pre-release function of Kousalya Krishnamurthy, Vijay chose to address a crucial issue of water shortage to raise awareness on right usage of water without wastage.“Everybody must pay due attention to avoid wastage of water. Day by day water reserves are depleting. If we do not take care of water at home, we are sure to face major problems.
Everybody, in principle, should realise that water reserves are also, like petrol reserves, limited, not unlimited,” said the actor. He spoke about how people are used to leaving the taps running. “Make it a habit to close the tap. I request all my fans to personally take up the cause and propagate about the imminent water scarcity,” he appealed to fans.
“A few days ago, my programme was deplorably delayed due to water shortage. When I was about set out for the shooting, there was no water available at home. Being helpless, I sat at home till the tanker came. Despite government’s efforts to make Kaleshwaram project ready to end water problem, if people don’t adopt proper measures to save water, water will turn out to be just a memory,” added the actor.
