KS Rama Rao, producer of Kousalya Krishnamurthy attributes the whole credit of his popularity as a producer to the writers, actors and technicians who contributed to his films till now. “Even my present film Kousalya Krishnamurthy, the credit goes to my team,” he says.
“When we started a film with Vijay Devarakonda, our director Kranthi Madhav suggested that I cast Aishwarya in it. When I saw the teaser of Tamil original Kanna, I was impressed and was determined to make it in Telugu,” says the producer who reveals that Aishwarya was instrumental in gaining the movie’s rights.
Praising the team who worked very hard under scorching heat in April and May, the producer says, “Aishwarya has learnt playing cricket to do justice to her role as the script is completely based on cricket. Music scores will surely impact the film positively. Everyone has ensured that the output is fantastic,” shared the producer at the pre-release event of the film.
Telugu heartthrob actor Vijay Devarakonda, who was present at the function as the chief guest, wished the film’s cast and crew superb success. “Our generation is lucky enough to be associated with a producer like Rama Rao sir whom I address as ‘Papa’ as I feel he has all the qualities of a fatherly figure.
I’ve observed that he doesn’t seem to enjoy anything else other than making films. Despite his ill-health, he displayed his unstinted commitment by coming to the sets regularly. Going by the Tamil films that she has done, I’m sure Aishwarya is capable of delivering the best for the role,” said Vijay, who also played cricket with the film’s leading lady on the dais.
To the delight of fans, Vijay announced that whoever took the catch would get a selfie with him.Senior actor Rajendra Prasad, who was also present on the occasion said that Kousalya Krishnamurthy would be a big hit and a memorable film in his career. Speaking at the event, Aishwarya Rajesh expressed gratitude towards the filmmaker who gave her the opportunity to make her Telugu debut.
