Vinod Kumar pays tributes to communist leader Bhagwandas

Warangal Urban: Vice-Chairman of State Planning Commission Boinpally Vinod Kumar, Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and several other leaders have paid glowing tributes to the popular leader of Communist Party of India (CPI) and trade unionist from Warangal BR Bhagwandas on his 90th birth anniversary by garlanding his statue in Hanamkonda here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Kumar said that the credit of getting drinking water for the Warangal city goes to the late Bhagwandas who waged a relentless fight against the then governments. “I too participated as an activist in those fights that were led by Bhagwandas, a mass leader, who mobilised all sections of the society,” he recalled.

Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said that Bhagwandas had mobilised the workers of the organised and unorganised sectors and formed the trade unions and also ensured employment for many jobless youths at that time.

CPI State Secretariat member Thakkallapally Srinivas Rao, Corporators Veeraganti Ravinder, Tadistetti Vidyasagar, TUWJ -H143 State joint secretary Pinna Shiva Kumar, Warangal Press Club president Thumma Sridhar Reddy, Sons of BR Bagwandas BR Ambedkar, Dr BR Raj Siddarth, and BR Lenin (TUWJ leader) and others were among those paid the tributes to the communist leader.
