Hyderabad: Former Indian elegant batsman VVS Laxman has paid handsome tributes to the doctors as the world celebrates Doctor’s Day today. Saying that the doctors show a lot of patience while treating the patients, Laxman said since he hailed from a family of doctors he is aware that the medical profession was noblest of all. “Coming from a family of doctors, I always knew that the medical profession was noblest of all as I have seen from close quarters how they use the knowledge and skill,’’ said Laxman in a message to social media. Incidentally, Laxman’s parents are doctors (Dr. Shantaram and Dr. Satyabhama).

The stylish batsman added that the doctors also show empathy and patience while treating the sick. “Today on the occasion of Doctor’s Day let us salute and pay tribute to the real Super Heroes who are not only risking their lives and they are also working tirelessly in fighting the pandemic that the world has seen,” he said, adding, that doctors infuse hope and courage in this hour of crisis.
