If you thought Bojack Horseman would never come back on your laptop and mobile screens, think again. Netflix uploaded the trailer of the fifth season of the series recently, which has already received a million views. Fans are both scared and happy for the makers retaining Hollyhock in the current season.
With the season finale of the Netflix original leaving us at a cliffhanger in season four, when Diane Nguyen and Mr. Peanutbutter address the void in their relationship, the audience was left to speculate a divorce in the making. Fandoms have written fanfiction and spun elaborate webs of philosophy that each character represents. The new season shows a new Diane, all made over and detached from Peanutbutter, now by Horseman’s side.
One can see Bojack trying his luck at being sober; it can either get better or much worse. This time around, the internet’s favourite horse seems to get lonelier with fame (the trailer hits at a hit show). The cult show is a hit on Netflix, and does a splendid job at representing anxiety, depression and mid-life crisis.
