Wanaparthy: The State Election Commission, on the recommendation of District Electoral Officer and District Collector Sweta Mohanty, has decided to conduct re-polling for Kadirepadu MPTC segment on May 17 at one polling booth, as the voters were given ballot papers from another MPTC segment during the elections which were held for local bodies held on May 14.

A notification has been issued to that effect by the State Election Commission on Wednesday, declaring that the re-polling would be held from 7 am till 5 pm on May 17. On May 14, when the election was held during the final phase, at polling booth number 64 in Kadirepadu village of Pangal mandal, voters were given ballot papers which were originally meant for polling booth number 87 of Penchikelapad  village, hence the re-polling.
