City police eyes Guinness Record

 25,000 women enrol for programme on self defence.

Warangal Urban: The Warangal police commissionerate is likely to achieve a Guinness World Record as it has received an overwhelming response for its one-day orientation programme on self defence called ‘Swashakthi’ for women and girls .

Although they had expected around 3,000 women and girls participants, which was scheduled for December 21; nearly 25,000 women had enrolled for the programme online through the website (http://www.sheteamwarangal.com”www.sheteamwarangal.com)

“Considering this stupendous response, we have decided to consult the representatives of Guinness World Record and invite them to witness the event, which would begin at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at 7.30 am on December 21, 2016,” said police commissioner, G Sudheer Babu, and added that DGP Anurag Sharma would be the chief guest for the event.
