Warangal Rural: Kin of fireworks mishap victims gets Rs 5L

Warangal: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari handed over cheques worth Rs 5 lakh to the kin of each deceased in the Bhadrakali fireworks mishap towards ex gratia here on Thursday.

It may be recalled that as many as 10 persons were killed in a blast that occurred in the fireworks manufacturing unit at Gorrekunta of Geesugonda mandal in Warangal Rural district on July 4. Soon after the incident, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia to the kin of the deceased.

Meanwhile, Kadiam also handed over the documents related to the allotment of double-bedroom houses to the kin of the deceased and 15 other families whose houses were completely damaged in the mishap.

On the other hand, the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Warangal, also handed over Rs 20,000 cash, 25 kg rice, five litres oil and other groceries to the kin of the each deceased. Warangal MP Pasunuri Dayakar, Wardhannapet MLA A Ramesh, Collectors K Amrapali, M Haritha, CP V Ravinder and other officials were present.
