Hyderabad: Recovering from the highly contagious strain of coronavirus (SAR-CoV2) is not all that easy, as patients need a lot of support from health care workers.

And those who have recovered from Covid-19 disease at Gandhi Hospital acknowledged this fact and are all praise for doctors, nurses and other hospital staff for their dedicated work.

After getting discharged from the hospital, many of them gave a detailed description of how the hospital staff strove to maintain quality at each level.

“The doctors visited us at least 2 to 3 times a day. The food was also good and there was a lot of variety. For breakfast, they served us Idli, or Mysore Bonda or Upma. Every day, they served us dry fruits, eggs and fruits. The nursing staff and doctors were attentive and friendly,” a discharged patient hailing from Marpally Mandal, Vikarabad district said.

Another recovered patient from Nirmal said he was surprised by good facilities at Gandhi Hospital. “The treatment was very good. I am grateful to the State government, doctors and other health care workers for taking care of me. Food and treatment was also very good. I did not face any kind of problem here during my stay for 16 days and have no complaints. I am just looking forward to go back home and continue to remain under quarantine for 14 more days,” he said.

A body builder from Sangareddy district, who had tested positive and received treatment at the hospital thanked the doctors for his recovery. “I did not face any issues. All the facilities and food were very good. The health authorities have handled us very well. We are grateful for helping us to recover. Food and medicines were given on time without fail,”

A group of Warangal natives, who had participated in the Markaz meet in New Delhi, said without the support of health care workers, it would have been difficult for them to recover.

“We are around nine people and all of us were brought to Gandhi Hospital in ambulance and now they have made sure that we have the ambulance to take us back. I came to Gandhi Hospital on March 3. We received the best treatment at Gandhi Hospital. Senior doctors in the hospitals had made it a point to visit us at least 2 to 3 times per day. They put a lot of focus on maintaining proper sanitation and food. We really appreciate the hospital doctors, health authorities and Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao for these facilities,” he said.
