Telangana reported its 1st suspected Monkeypox case on 24th of July.
The samples collected from a 40-year-old suspected man were sent to National Institute of Virology, Pune.
The man returned to Kamareddy from Kuwait on July 6.
The patient sought care at a private hospital when he developed fever and rashes on July 20.
Based on his symptoms, the doctors suspected Monkeypox and he was rushed to Hyderabad from Kamareddy.
Director of Public Health Dr G. Srinivasa Rao said there is no need to panic as it is not a fatal disease.
Fever Hospital has set up two isolation wards for male and female patients.
